The Old Dairy.

The Old Dairy is a dilapidated barn, historically accommodating cattle and located within a heritage site in the beautiful Peak District. Although currently a ruin as seen in the images below, the outline of the original structural walls still remain.

The client wished to rebuild the old barn as a one bedroom residential building. Planning permissions were extremely restrictive considering the site’s historical and geographical significance and therefore it was required that the proposed building remain within the confines of its tiny original footprint. A second level has been added to allow for a separate bedroom.
