Approach

The most important aspect of the design process is to listen to you the client, to translate this into a design that you love and to deliver a service that you are delighted with.

Understanding why, what and how leads to a smooth and satisfying design process so communication, presentation of ideas and feedback is at the core of how I work.

Areas of design consideration

  • Functionality and usability of the space

  • A focus on the re-use of materials; sustainability is a major priority

  • Keeping within budget

  • Wellness, with an emphasis on psychology; how a space is designed changes how it makes one feel

  • Aesthetics - your project must look its best!

From a window display to a room redesign, a dream house renovation or a 10 story, 230k sqft office building, Palette & Space can help navigate every part of the design process with skill, experience and creativity.

A Short History of Experience

During her early 20’s, Daisy worked in creative industries such as Arts Council England, music promotion, galleries and the BFI. Through a series of unexpected turns, she wound her way into working as Studio Manager for a small Architecture practice on Columbia Road - Clive Sall Architecture and Hudson Sall Developments. Finding an interest in the subject and desiring to explore more, she went on to work in the same capacity of Studio Manager for Purcell (specialising in historic restoration for buildings such as Buckingham Palace, Battersea Power Station and Hampton Court) and Woods Bagot. It was at the latter company that in 2018, Daisy decided to study Interior Architecture BA at the University of Westminster.

Having won VOLA prizes for Best Portfolio in her first year and Best Detail Prize in her second year, Daisy went on to win the Best Portfolio Prize and receive a First Class Hons for her final year, graduating in 2020. She was lucky to be offered a role during the Covid-19 pandemic: Interior Designer at LOM Architecture & Design.

In 2022, Daisy was ready to move to the larger, innovative and multi-award winning Perkins&Will where she was quickly given large-scale projects of her own. She has completed RIBA Stages 1-5 for the Deloitte offices in Edinburgh, Bristol, Belfast and London, as well as been part of a team on projects for Premier League, Microsoft, Millennium, Visa and others.

Daisy’s project for Deloitte Edinburgh received the BCO Regional Award in 2024. Deloitte Bristol, Belfast and Shoe Lane are also nominees for their respective regions and the results are to be announced this year (2026).

Daisy bought an apartment which she gutted, designed and renovated alongside her full-time employment and on a shoe-string budget, finally completing it in July 2025. She carried out most of the building work herself, gaining hands-on experience in plumbing and underfloor heating systems, demolishment and building of walls, laying of parquet flooring, floor levelling, making bespoke kitchen cabinets, tiling and many more processes. Re-using elements of the original structure, Daisy used the old stripped-back french windows to build a bookcase, whilst other windows were used as kitchen cabinet doors. She sensitively re-purposed anything else she could – not only for budget and sustainability reasons but also to honour the character and story of the building. Re-use and craft in order to create unique spaces are important to her design intent within all of her projects.

Born and based in London, Daisy has opened her own practice, Palette & Space, in Crystal Palace where she is looking to focus on local projects.
